There is nothing worse than thinking you're on a good roll when an asshat will knock you down. I went to the doctors on Monday, just to go over blood work results (alls well), when the Dr. (not my Dr. who is out right now...never met this guy before) informs my of how fat I am and proceeds to write out a script for weight loss pills.
Really? You have no idea about what I've accomplished. What I've been through. I am not taking f-ing pills!
I was so pissed. Then depressed. I ate an entire Reese's Bunny. And nerds. And some runts. I cannot believe I let this jerk get to me. I know I'm losing weight. I look pretty darn good right now compared to a year ago.
I guess the moral of this story is: "Jerks are everywhere. Don't let them get to you. They live to break people down. Don't give them that satisfaction like I did. You are doing a wonderful job. Keep it up!!!"

If you're 5'5", then you're BMI would be normal, based on your posted weight. If you're a few inches shorter than that then you'd be JUST BARELY outside of the normal range of BMI and so a discussion about potential health risks might have been appropriate, but weight loss pills were completely unneccessary especially since you weren't asking about them. You should report that guy to your doctor so that he knows he's got an asshat filling in for him & you should report him to your state's medical board. Can you imagine what damage he's out there doing to people who aren't as together as you are and don't realize that some doctors are just jerks? Somebody thinks this guy's medical license makes him an expert and feels crappy about themselves because of him.

As soon as my Dr. gets back I'm going to let him know. He tried to tell me that those BMI charts are not accurate and that I'm more @30.

Sorry you had to deal with him. Insensitive and irresponsible to me! Who prescribes without knowing the patient?
