Have got to restart with the food journal. Having a lot of trouble with portion control.

I can totally relate. I have a humongous appetite and "normal" portions leave me feeling starved. I don't know what eating plan you are following, but if you do a low carbohydrate diet like Atkins or moderate one such as South Beach or Sugar Busters, you don't really watch portions. You eat until you are full as long as you eat the right foods. My weight doctor doesn't monitor my portions at all and encourages me to get full as long as I am keeping my carbohydrate count within the prescribed range. From what I have gathered, carbohydrates are basically the wicked witch of the dieting world. And remember, even healthy carbs count. I actually blew my diet on pinto beans the first week because they are very high carbohydrate and I had no clue. Just something to keep in mind if you can't do portion control like I can't.
