Chickturu's Journal, 23 April 2014

Yesterday when arriving back home in the evening, I was so unmotivated to exercise. I just didn't feel like, my brain was giving me all kind of excuses: 'you are still too sore from last days, need to recover more' 'one day won't make a change' and the worst 'instead of exercising go and have some chocolate bread, you need energy' lol!

I really sat for around 10 mins. to have this battle with my brain, so suddenly I decided to stop thinking about it - the more I thought about it the more convinced I got that I didn't want to exercise. So I got my ass off the sofa and got dressed to exercise. I ended up doing almost an hour of Elyptical. After that, my head was hurting the whole night and I couldn't sleep properly. But well, I exercised!

I don't know what happened. It is not lack of motivation, definitely! These days, more than all previous weeks, I need to stay focused in my May goal.

Today I weighed myself and saw some ugly numbers there. My weight is up for 600 grs. from 4 days ago... I totally resist to believe that! therefore I didn't record it in FS. I'll keep an eye there, it just can't be.

Good for you!! You fought against that bad voice saying not to exercise and won. I sometimes get headaches after an intense workout, and I think that sometimes it's from not having enough water during the day. Don't worry about that number today, you've been working hard so it could be you're muscles retaining some water from working them out. Drink your water and get some good healthy food in today and I'm sure you'll see a drop soon. :)

Thanks Mars, yes I actually thought it could have been due to sore muscles and also constipation, so hopefully the numbers will go down in a matter of days. And yes you are right, probably the headache was due to lack of water... I have improved that today, let's see!

I think we are related. I felt sick and almost flu like after the treadmill this morning. We can do this Chickturu!

Whenever you feel like that, light exercise will help you feel better. If you are extremely exhausted though, just rest, especially if you are physically (muscles) exhausted :) I hope you sleep better tonight!

light exercise works somewhat as a pain-killer because endorphins are released but, if you already had tension in your neck muscles, for example, strenuous exercise may have contributed for that tension to persist :P
