I know this advice is unsolicited, but I DO hope you take it to heart. I would be VERY hesitant to start taking diet pills like Hydroxycut. These types of diet aids do 2 things: add caffeine (which a lot of times will give you a really jittery feeling), and they block fat absorption in the gut. If you're truly following a low carb lifestyle, you NEED those fats for fuel since your body doesn't have sufficient carbs to burn, so blocking them via pills is counterproductive and eventually harmful.

You can do this...you just need to stay committed to a natural, whole food eating plan. A diet can help, short-term; but changing your permament long-term results, year after year. This is the right time in your life to get the fundamentals out of the way so just keep going until you get there!

Kari29 thanks for the advice. Maybe I should just try the pills with low calories and exercise for a couple of weeks and see how it goes. And if I feel like its not doing me any good, I'll change it.

LuC2 whatever diet I chose will be a life style change. I already know that I can't do anything short term. It won't work. Never has never will. Its difficult finding the right diet I want that will permanent for me. Just have to keep trying something until it make me happy and the results real not temporary.

Riyankee visit dietdoctor.com/lchf. I love it. Its very close to Atkins. I have blended both Atkins and LCHF. I also fast so combined I've lost 33 lbs. I don't exercise, not yet. Maybe soon.

I've been at it about a month and down more than 15 lbs (I'm not weighing right now as part of a Challenge but my clothes tell a story). I'm exercising 30 min/day at least 5 days/week. The only other change is whole foods -- weaning little to no highly processed foods -- 100% whole wheat breads or pastas and whole grains (like rice, quinoa, etc.). I find and develop lots of recipes to keep the food as interesting as I can. However I can help or share just let me know... :D

We can partner up, Riyankee. I do feel like I've made great strides in just 30 days, and I can truly say it has been just eating as everyone should and exercising just 30 min a day. I'm really out to prove to myself that making the right choices in the kitchen can have a tremendous impact on my life!

I've yo yo dieted most of my adult life. And now I'm over 100lbs overweight with the side effects that go with it and take the medications to go with them. Several of which have weight gain as side effects. This is the only "diet" that I can say is actually working. Since I have been with FatSectret I understand that we are all in the same boat, and for the most part share the ups and down, the frustrations and successes but, and this is a big but, there are no FAILURES only opportunities to learn. And believe me I have been doing lots of learning. What I am trying to say is that if you are reaching goals and are feeling better you are not failing.

I just want to find something that works and I can stick to. I want to cheat everyday but for the most part I don't or if I do it is something really small. I get really bored between 1 and 9 when I am alone. I try to do other things to keep my mind off it. But geesh! It is the hardest thing for me.
