Adkins made me very ill. Glad you are adjusting and trying things new. Keep up the good work!

Good for you. It's important to know what works for us and what doesn't. You may find you'll want to go back to it at times. I read a book recently by Dan John, a strength coach and power lifter. He said, "Everything works for about 10 weeks". I liked that idea. I'm went from Zone diet, to calorie counting and now CBL which is like Atkins on non lifting days and in the mornings, and carb loading after evening workouts. It's working for me at the moment. I'm not trying to lose weight at the moment though. Happy Easter.

I'm sure there will be a few commenters that feel strongly about Atkins and may tell you you have been doing it wrong, or something along those lines. Maybe you followed it perfectly, maybe you didn't. It doesn't really matter. We each need to do what works for us and change things up as needed. I hope the hallelujah diet works well for you.

I do believe you have to mix it up (1) to stay interested, and (2) the body is built to adapt and will just get used to whatever you are doing to keep it's fat. Northern and Gillian are right that you have to do what's right for you...as longs as it's right for you! :)

I agree Gilliansings. I have done the atkins before and got a lot of weight off. then had my second child and I followed it exactly just like last time. I lost 4 pounds and it stopped totally and even gained it back. My body just got used to it. so trying this one and so far I don't feel drained.
