Annabelle3117's Journal, 19 April 2014

Good Morning!! I didn't weigh in this morning, which means I am one hundred percent successful in my challenge. It feels great to win at life lol. Focus for the upcoming week is going to be on intake and exercise.

As we all know, Easter is tomorrow. DANGER! lol The benefit to having been at this weight loss game for over a year is that I've already made it through every holiday once. I have some experience, and I've learned a few things. My secret to Easter was to simply not bring a lot of junk into the house. The kids will get the bare minimum in their baskets (not like there won't be plenty more at grandmas house) and thus I won't be tempted. I don't buy value size bags of anything. If it's more than the kids should eat, I'm not buying it. While visiting family it's every man for himself lol, I have the fact that every single persons eyes are on me to motivate me not to raid the candy. They seem to think that if I put a piece of candy in my mouth one hundred pounds will magically reappear on my new skinny frame. Fools. But I don't need to be indulging anyway, so I'll keep my distance and let them think whatever they want to think. That's the game plan, folks.

I have committed to one act of intentional exercise daily, so I need to start figuring out what that is going to be for me today. Looks like it will be a beautiful day, so I'm thinking maybe a walk. I would say jog, but the kids are guaranteed to want to tag along. Tomorrow will be even harder, maybe I'll do a kettle bell workout... that could work.

I need to do better on the eating front. Today is the day. Going to keep track of every item that passes these beautiful lips, and stick to my calorie goals. Too much to do and not enough time to get it all done.

I hope everyone has a wonderful day!

I love that you plan out your days before they just happen, I agree that not putting temptation in your path is the easiest way to avoid it. Have a great day :)

Hey kiddo - you know, your journal made me reflect on how the first year thru all the hols I was very strict but second time around I loosened my grip a little - hence the candy yesterday. Some day I won't have to live 'all or nothing' but with sugar it may just have to be that way. Good on you for hauling in your own water too :-)
