euheide's Journal, 15 April 2014

The weight has predictably gone up. It's good it hasn't gone up even more than it did. But I better not celebrate just yet because the result of this appetite might show in the next few days... :)

Inaccurate body fat percentage from body composition scale: 7.6 % (Sometimes, this reading seems realistic, not in the number itself, but in its fluctuations. It makes sense that I've gained some fat since I've been having trouble controlling the calorie intake lol)

Inaccurate waist measurement across navel: 79.4 cm (I'm very happy this is holding! :)

edit: I thought about doing that banana-shaped ab exercise suggested by Njashka (dishes? :), but it was already too much for my poor abs. I decided to give them a well deserved rest lol.
127.9 lb Lost so far: 16.3 lb.    Still to go: 4.4 lb.    Diet followed reasonably well.

You're doing great- we all start off with poor abs hahaha. How do you measure your body fat? I've been wondering this for a while.

You r doing great!! Seems like you are turning into a lean mean muscle machine!!! LOL

Thanks Aamaddux! :) That's definitely right heheh ;) I use a body composition monitor (or scale, I don't know which is the most appropriate term). It's a scale that has an incorporated body fat percentage monitor which works with bio-impedance. It sounds pretty advanced but it's very inaccurate :) This is the model I'm using: Tanita BC-545. I've read that newer models are less unreliable but, even so, there still isn't that level of accuracy we wish ;)

Thanks Roe! :) I wish ahahah. The number provided by the body composition scale is highly incorrect. I'm probably in the vicinity of 12 to 13% body fat, if not higher (judging by appearance ;) My muscles are definitely toned and I feel them rigid in lots of parts of my body but I've always had a problem making them grow in size :)

In short, I don't look like a lean mean muscle machine heheheh ;) Unfortunately... Maybe in some time though! You never know :)

I bet you look great! The banana ab exercise is really hard I can only hold for 10 seconds before collapsing in a trembling heap lol;-);-);-) the thing I have is my arms and legs get really skinny before the lower belly fat and hip fat decides to go:-( i'm looking a bit funny at the moment I think:-(

You're doing great. I'm going to try the Omron. I'll let you know what I think after using it for a couple of weeks. How're you doing with the 24 Day AB Challenge? Today was day 14 or 85-42-55. I got through it with very little difficulty. I also found the 24 Day AB Challenge Part 2 which I'm going to put up as a challenge as soon as we finish this one. Will post a copy for everyone to look. Have a great weekend and keep working on that lean-mean-fighting machine look......

Great never2old can't wait for part 2 i've already been thinking of continuing with the ab exercises after the challenge because I think I already see a difference. Great you can do it with no problems I can still do it in one go but am finding it harder! I'm on day 15 already thanks to being in a different time zone;-)

Thanks Njashka! ;) lol That does sound hard! Don't worry about it, that'll soon change! :) And it's also possible that only you perceive that self-image ;)

Thanks Never2old, I'm definitely curious about that so definitely let me know! :) The Ab challenge is now at a very difficult stage. I'm almost at the my limit with the crunches and I have to divide the leg raises into 3 or more separate sets lol :) But it's definitely looking like it's impacting my weight or, at least, being a great help to it! That is very impressive! You must be in great shape! :). OH NO!!! PART 2!! heheh. Seriously now, does part II keep going up from the end of part I? If so, then that really seems impossible to do for me :) But I guess I can always divide it into many different sets and do it anyway lol. It's probably for the best, abs-wise :) Thanks!

@Njashka - I definitely think the Ab challenge is producing results! Even if as one of the contributing factors :)

Could be:-) everyone thinks I look fine I wish I would too;-)how silly really. Oh well 2kg to go then I'll hopefully be happy too!:-)

If everyone thinks you look fine, then you definitely do! :) We usually have a worse image of our own body than it really looks like heheh. But yes, after losing an additional 2 kg, that'll definitely change your own opinion ;)
