gfriar's Journal, 03 April 2014

so today I looked back at the history of weigh ins that I keep track of at work. I weigh when I come into work in the morning. on 1/24/14 i weighed in at 281.3 My weight steadily went down until the weekend I got the flu which was when i weighed in on 3/4/14 at 266.3 I have since continued to weigh in every few days and my weight at one point went to 268.4 but has basically stayed in the 266 range since 3/4/14. Today i weighed in at 266.5 I have gone a whole month without losing weight. I am worried that it is because i have upped my carb intake, which is disappointing to me because i was severely restricting my carb intake and losing weight very slowly. So I thought I just needed a little more. It is so hard to figure out what works and what doesn't! I am getting very frustrated.

Hi Georgia thanks for your support. I'm not a dietitian but I looked at your food diary. I see a couple of things. You don't always log what you eat. And sometimes at meals you have way too many carbs per one sitting. Your fiber is not always at 25 grams in above. Remember fibers what carries all the junk out of your body. 8 glasses of water a day is critical. The maximum amount of carbs you should eat per meal is 45. It should be good healthy carbs not carbs from sorry french fries. Make sure that you're being totally honest with yourself. It's very important to log everything you eat. If you consistently eat between 1300 to 1500 calories, log your food, and keep your carbs in line you will lose weight. Exercising 3 times a week is also very important. Be honest and true to yourself Georgia. You can do this. Please don't get discouraged and give up. Remember what Trina said 'if you bite it write it". I believe in you Georgia.

Hi Lyne, I guess I wasn't looking at how many carbs I eat at a sitting as long as my wheel was right? I will pay more attention to what I am eating at a time. I weighed again this morning and it was 266.1 still. same as Friday. I do get off track on weekends. I have no reason most times to get off track, but I do. It's a constant battle, but I will keep pushing through. Thanks!
