As many of you have noticed, I have not been logging my food lately..it's been an experiment, and a pretty successful one. I wanted to see if I could still lose at the same rate just eating my usual kinds of foods and not counting calories.....I figured at some point, I needed to see how likely it was that when I went into maintenance at some later time, that I could successfully eat without obsessing about calories.

Apparently, I am going to be able to just eat and workout and live and not have a problem on the scale and not have to track everything so diligently...good to know for my future.

I do eat the same kinds of foods from week to week, and I apparently have learned to listen to my body and eat when I'm hungry. Winning! hahahaha

(Also, my BMI is now 31.3, for record's sake.)

Thats great! I think hitting maintenance is something we all wonder/worry about but pretty confident that the changes ive made will stick regardless of whether im tracking or not... I hope lol

good experiment! I wonder the same thing for myself some days. I like your definition of winning! Sometimes the hard part is stopping for me though!

You're a brave soul. I am 7 lbs. from maintenance and it's a big issue for me to learn how to maintain my loss.

Good job, and kudos on having faith in yourself to do what your body needs.

I'm seriously considering changing my goal weight by another 10lbs or so. I was too afraid to hope for a 98lb loss in the beginning, but now, I COULD go for it and be at what is considered 'normal weight" by every measure possible. I have alot more faith I can do it if I choose to now. I am 4lbs away from my ticker becoming green and only have 29 to go before I hit goal right now.

Hit your current goal, then change it. Don't put too much pressure on yourself. STep at a time.

How will that affect my ticker?

When does the ticker change colors I hadn't noticed this?
