Made it through a second day. It's odd, I found myself fantasizing about food throughout the day, but I never actually felt an urgent hunger. It wasn't obsessing about eating, more like thinking it would be nice to go to an Italian restaurant this weekend, etc. Anyway, I've got two days under my belt and see no reason why I can't keep it up.

Fatsecret keeps reminding me to weigh in, but I'm avoiding the scale as much as possible. I already know that staying on my program helps me lose weight. I also know that getting on the scale and losing less than I was hoping for (or god forbid gaining) is terribly demotivating. So, for now, at least, I'm going to ignore those reminders.

Good for you Alan I am staying in Albuquerque caring for grandkids again while daddy is in Airforce leadership training and mommy works out of town. You would not believe the carbs in this house. At least by the end of the day I get my reward meal and a cocktail. Lord knows I need them.

Hi Alan, you will experience normal daily fluctuations. For me, sometimes as much as two pounds . But by keeping your eye on the prize and sticking to this eating plan you WILL lose between 1 and 2 pounds a week and keep it off.

That is why I weigh in only once a week. This time I am not terribly bothered by slow loss but this week was my first gain and it was distressing but motivating because I had been letting carbs creep up and needed the kick in the pants to go back to Induction. Too many past diets were ruined by what my scale told me but this time I have a different mindset.
