Sitting here enjoying my first cup of coffee, and preparing the coffee, etc for church. It is a beautiful day outside, the sunrise picture perfect!! The dogs are all outside feeling really frisky, barking and running around...they love this cooler weather. We are headed off to church, then home, and probably a nap. No exercise today..YAY, my body needs a break. But Monday is just around the corner.
I am feeling pretty good with where I am on my journey just now, but sure do wish that the weight loss would pick up a bit, but it is what it is (to quote a very wise buddy, ;D), so I'll take what I can get. At least the scale is moving in the right direction. I truly had hoped to lose 100 pounds this year, but it looks like that isn't going to happen, and that's okay. I worked really hard, have changed my eating habits, my exercise habits, and have finally realized that this isn't a journey with an end, but an ongoing adventure that I will be on for life...so it doesn't really matter when I make it to my goal, just that I do. It is a goal to be healthy, happy, and able to move.
"This is the day which the LORD hath made; we will rejoice and be glad in it." Psalm 118:24
Have a great day!!

Sounds like a perfect start to perfect day! It's sunny and FRESH here this morning too. We saw a few snow flakes on Friday! They were few and far between. I still get excited about the first snow! Enjoy your day!

Morning and you are right to come to that realization. This journey will never end. That's why we all need each other so much. Have a great Sunday and keep up the good work. Be happy!

I come here, everyday, looking forward to the tidbits from you. Thank you for your upbeat and positive words. Thank you for always having a point of view that leads one to open thoughts, not close minded conclusions. You are wonderful.

Hi Stef, great journal today. I love the quote from the psalm. So true. and your realization that this is a 'journey without end but an ongoing adventure' gives it a different perspective. I 'know' this to be true but need to be reminded of it constantly. Feel I could do with a tattoo on my forehead so I could see it every time I look in the mirror. Its not a race, its a marathon. No step is too small. Even missteps are steps forward. Have a fabulous day, which I know you will. Enjoy your Sunday nap - I so enjoy those too.

fairmamma, I LOVE the snow, but then anyone who reads my jouranl already knows that, right Laurie?? lol We just got back from church, and are fixing some lunch. I am always amazed at how the teachings on Sunday seem to coincide with my thoughts and what I've learned throughout the week. I think I may have to journal about that later.

Laura, the greatest thing about Sunday is it is a day of rest....rest from all the everyday chores with the exception of cooking and dishes, rest from exercise, rest from any stressors that we might have. WE simoly get up, go to church, come home make a little lunch (broiled chicken breast today), take a nap, then get up and make dinner and watch Sunday evening cartoons (Simpsons, etc). It is the day that we take the time to recharge out batteries for the week! God is very wise, is He not??

Is, thanks, I also need to be reminded of that from time to time....like daily! lol I get impatient to see more success and it just seems like it is never fast enough, then I have to stop and look at where I was and where I am now. That gives me perspective. And yes every step, even a misstep, is still a step, and every step puts us closer to the next stage of our adventure!! How exciting, huh! We are all on a great adventure and the best part....our friends are along for the ride!!!!

Hi Step! Glad you are having a relaxing day. You deserve it with all that you do. Church was great here in St. Louis today. My daughter's family goes to Chesterfield Community Church. The sermon was great. It was about Jacob's family. How it came to be and how God changed his name to Israel. The main part of the sermon was about God's grace. Oh, how I need that every day.
With God's Help We Can Do It!!!!!!!!!!!!

Hey, Cindy our little church is in Wentzville, you should come out some Sunday and visit! My youngest son's name is Jacob and he has Isaiah 48:20b tatooed across his shoulders, " “The LORD has redeemed His servant Jacob!” and he truly has!
