my dad's poor health and romantic issues in my own life have made it very difficult to eat well and exercise at all the past two days, but i'm hoping that my dad and i can take a walk together tomorrow if he's feeling up to it, and also i will try to cook him a healthy, nutritious meal if i have the time after dealing with some work issues.

sometimes it seems like everything falls apart at once. i really don't want my will and ability to stay focused on my health to fall victim to unfortunate events in my life because those will always come up - that's just part of living. and i think if i can still keep my eye on the prize and stay with good eating habits and start exercising more even when things are rough, i will know that at least one part of my life is in order. and, in fact, i know that making my health a priority will help me through my hard times much more than eating junk food and being a couch potato would.

in times like this i really need the company and support of my friends.
