I have been sick since Friday and have eaten mostly crackers and sports drinks because the antibiotics make me queasy. It added a pound :-( But I am ok with it and not going to give up. About the bread, sometimes I think if your body is begging for something that you need to give it some of what it wants so it is easier to follow through with changing your way of eating. Depriving myself sets me up for failure....everything in moderation right? :-)

I could not agree more. My diet is based on the principal of "Do not deprive myself of anything" because like you said, when your body is begging for something you need to give SOME of what it wants. Last week, my wife prepared a delicious desert, I resisted the first day but I kept thinking about it. So instead of devouring a ton of other foods, I had 2 small bites and it hit the spot, the druling and cravings stopped and the caloric cost was minuscule. I am a believer in the principal of "find the diet/eating habit that suits you"..But I cannot imagine life without some foods no matter how "bad" they are. I will never succeed on Atkins on zero fat or other special diets. I keep reminding myself that "I should not diet, I should find a PERMANENT eating habit and a PERMANENT life style to burn it off. Hope you are feeling better, and thanks for the comment.
