I have started jogging on a more serious basis, mainly because I want to finish getting this weight off and so I needed to kick it up a notch. I am working towards a race that is 8.3 miles at the end of October. I figure if I can run 3.5 miles in 31 minutes than I roughly need to be able to run for over an hour. So I am edging my time up jogging but a couple minutes at a time. Today I jogged continuously for 37 minutes and then from there I walked a lap and jogged two until I was at an hour. But now I realize that I need to up that time to about an hour and 15 minutes to make this realistic. I like having the goal to work towards.
