I get so frustrated I go from losing a few pound to the next week gaining. I finally sat down and made a more complete week menu plan with breakfast lunch dinner and my main dish which used to be the only thing on my plate to now eating fruits and veggies. I am working so hard on eating healthier. When I get on the scale and it ways I have gained weight I just want to cry.
277.0 lb Lost so far: 3.0 lb.    Still to go: 97.0 lb.    Diet followed poorly.
gaining 3.0 lb a week

Hi Susie, I have been going through the same thing although I'm not very active and still eat junk food most of the time. I made a lot of change though and I think I'm not losing any weight, but that is since yesterday. If I look back when I started on March I got up to 198 and now I'm 188 (even though next week I could be 190) But the point is 10lbs is 10 lbs and the fact that I stopped gaining is a miracle in itself, because in the last 2 1/2 years I went from 150 to 198 it was like being pregnant again, only pregnant for 2 1/2 years. Don't Give up or beat yourself up over it. Keep doing the best you can and it will happen for you. Some days are better than others, enjoy those days. Good Luck FS Buddy.

thanks for the encouragement. I am trying to learn not to be so hard on myself. I will not give up. I am making a lot of changes and I so need to be patient and it will happen just like how I used to not be able to walk one block and now I am walking up to 35-40 minutes in the morning.

That's awesome. I used to stay on the elliptical for 45min and now I have to start all over and go slow, because I haven't been to the gym in so long. But it's all good.

you need to remember to allow time for your body to adjust to the changes you are making. when your body and mind have got used to the changes, then you should see good changes on your scales. perseverance is the virtue here along with patience. the smaller the changes, the easier it is on your body and mind. keep at it. forever positive!
