bluesus69's Journal, 16 July 2013

I am doing so good at not eating other families leftovers. This weekend we had a birthday party we went to. My partner could not finish her cake and the first thing that popped out of my mouth was oh I will finish it but then I stopped and said no just throw it away. People at the table all chimed in with oh you should just finish it but I said no I am trying to lose weight and then they were all very respectful about my decision and didn't insist that I finish it. I think they were all proud of me for saying no it was really good cake too. It was just a little bit but I feel like all the little bits that I have said yes to add up. Once again I am feeling proud of myself for not eating any extras. Plus I did good food wise and did not over eat and added some veggies and fruit to my plate instead of just chips and piles of meat.

Great going there on the control. Yes, all those little bits DO add up in the long run. Nice going on the fruit and veggies too.

good for you! I agree small changes are easier to deal with in the long term, because there is no obvious change. if that makes sense?
