I just dont get it!! I have been working my butt off doing lots of hard work. Helping clean up after the flood and some how I gained weight??? What the heck? I ate well drank lots of water. So frustrating!!

Well if you don't clean up floods every day, you are probably using muscles that you don't normally use. Muscles get sore and retain water when they do work that they don't normally do. Any kind of new exercise or movement causes muscle fiber tears and water replaces to help them heal. This can show on the scale as a temporary gain, no loss or smaller loss than usual. Google "why the scale lies" for insight in to water weight gain. It could also been too much sodium the night before, stress, sickness, inflammation, hormones, medication, etc.
