Started this quest to lose 30+ pounds after thinking about it and doing nothing for too long. Began Monday 6/24 with the odd GM/Cabbage Soup diet. I know it's not recommended and is a temporary thing but I was basically looking for a jump start and some sort of structure that was all laid out. It has given the results promised(7 lbs in 5 days) and given me time to research and soul search. Makes it very easy to reflect on your previous food intake when you are hyper-tuned to present intake. We'll see if I can maintain a more gradual decline in weight and BMI as this diet ends(it's 7 days) and I start making my own choices.
Started at a bit over 216 with a BMI of 30.3 making me just above the 'obese' line. Was just feeling too heavy. Presently 209 with BMI of 29.3- now I'm only overweight and not obese. Good. A long way to go but I'm enjoying every minute of it. Amazing what cutting out a double quarter pounder w/ fries and a half dozen Yuenglings every day can do.
