I think I have found something that works for me. I am drinking hot tea with lemon throughout the day, bottled water and then one meal at dinner.

I find drinking the tea keeps me alert and full. If I don't wake up my taste buds up during the day there are no cravings.

By the time I eat my dinner at night I really enjoy the food and feel satisfied.

The 23 hours that I am not eating my body is cleansing itself. I feel renewed.

As I said for all the naysayers below. This works for me. I hope you find what works for you.

You may have something there Kathy. I bought some flavored seltzer water (no carb) yesterday just to have something different to drink. I think I am doing breakfast and then something mid afternoon that qualifies as lunch and supper. I am not a 3 meal a day person anymore I don't think. I think your water and lemon sounds healthier than my seltzer water. I may try that instead. Let me know how this works for you :)

I try to do what you do, I usually eat lunch for my Mom's benefit. Stress causes her heart to act up, so I have to make sure I'm not the cause of any stress. My problem is I can't skip dinner, I have weird anxiety problems when I try to skip dinner. I also usually eat to much at dinner, it's like my body forgets how to tell me I'm not hungry, after 5pm >:P.

I cant say I agree with only 1 meal a day as it will slow down your metabolism. I am still having problems on atkins I either eat too many calories or not enough. I have been drinking mio drops in my water otherwise I would not be able to get my quota of water in.

Well Kathy I think I will try your lemon and water tomorrow. Seltzer water isn't what I am looking for I guess.Actually I have no problem drinking water but it is nice to have some other cold option. I don't drink soda so....

I feel great. I have read up on this by Elijah Muhammad's book called Eat to Live. This is done in a spiritual setting which I am embracing at the moment. Please do not put your negativity here. I will only delete it. Thanks for respecting my choice.

Today I realize how important it is to surround yourself with supportive people. We all have to find the best way of eating that works for us. I believe we should respect others trying to find there way.

;) yup Kathy I agree. Actually if we treated our bodies more like temples we would probably not need Atkins or anything else. Too bad the food industry preys on our weaknesses isn't it? We have to do what we do that works of us. Actually I really find the idea of doing this in a spiritual way very enticing. And there is nothing wrong with learning to control your eating habits after all that is why we are all here right? lol! The fact is we have all eaten way more than we need to live, as in survive. So a big namaste to you girl and I am pulling for you!

Hi Merrywinkle. So glad to have someone be positive when we are all trying to find that perfect way of eating. How is your Saturday going? I just came back from the grocery store with frozen salmon steaks my favorite. Even though I will probably have chicken tonight. LOL

So far so good. I am at least starting to have some hunger pangs again. I hope my body gets the hint soon. I am not going to starve it but it isn't getting what it did even by Atkins standards. I love Salmon and I think I am having that tomorrow night. Tonight is chicken because I cooked a whole one yesterday. I think one problem with me and this diet this time around is that I am already sick to death of half the stuff I am eating. BUT last time I did this I lived alone....so I didn't have to watch someone else eat potatos and peas. ahahahahahaaa

Well I bought organic chicken thighs and am having that tonight. I always take a tablespoon of barbecue sauce and dip my chicken in it. I get the sauce that only has 6 carbs. It really livens the chicken up. But that with some type of veggie, and then I eat this nut clusters as my dessert.

I was talking to my DM (Dear Man LOL) this afternoon and he said that everyone who has spent their lives eating 3 meals a day is over weight. lolololololol! That most people don't deserve to eat 3 times a day because they don't do physically to warrant that much food.

I agree with your husband. They have us stuffing ourselves 6 times a day with 5 fruits a day and way to much water. They are really killing the people in this country. Most people have sit down jobs they are not out chasing animals for food, etc.
