My daughter swore in yesterday!!! We are very proud parents and I am a proud mother. She leaves for bootcamp April 8th...I cannot believe that it will be here before we know it.
We took her out to dinner to celebrate last night so my calories are up. Sodium up but it was worth it. I also had two bites of her chocolate torte.
Not the ordinary Valentine's day but definitely a memorable one.

So very proud of her for choosing this and you for not standing in her way...this country needs more of that. So glad you had a good time with her ! That boot camp will seem like forever or at least it did to me..

Toni - thank you! I think she will give her notice to her job about 10 days before she leaves. Give her a little time off and she has things to go through and pack up. She signed a 5 year contract so there are a lot of things that she will need to box up. Kind of makes me sad to say that and think of it.
TOFU - thank you. She will be 3rd generation Navy in our family. I am very proud of her and appreciate your words of support. I would also like to say thank you for your service!

Looks like my Lent Day gave me a Fat Fast day too :) I am thankful to God for helping me stay the path. I am thankful for my health and the blessings upon my friends and family.
