Ms Elizabeth's Journal, 05 February 2013

I made a HUGE mistake yesterday. I found out they haven't replaced the other writer at work yet. They waited too long and the woman took another job. It's almost to the point where my desk is going to start to lean to the right. I've got hubbies taxes and bookwork to complete for 2012. I have to finish all the book work for my house back home. The house is slowly becoming a disaster area because I can't find the time to put it back together. Little man is 8 months old and still refuses to sleep through the night. I got to the barn last night and started crying after I couldn't figure out why one of the milkers was working. One of the hoses came off. Reeeeeeeaaaally obvious reason why it wouldn't work. So I cursed myself out, hubby gave me a big hug and picked me up, and I vented about feeling like I was drowning.

Little man must have heard me. He was up at 4am this morning bright eyed and ready to go. So this morning I got the laundry folded, the dishes are done, the living room was picked up and then he decided to take a nap... just in time for the alarm to go off. So I got a shower, packed a lunch, and got to work on time! Holy miracle of miracles! I've gotten 1 project done that was due last month but my boss decided to hold onto it until yesterday. I'll have another one done this afternoon. I may not be able to form a complete sentance, my eyes are bloodshot, and I end every thought with a yawn BUT I'm getting things done! I'll find out tomorrow if I actually did any of these things correctly.

I wonder when I'll finally crash and end up drooling on my desk.

Wow, I can never complain that my life is to busy. Even with that said I know that feeling of drowing and just needing something to hold on too. Sounds like you have a good man there with you. I love how he likes to pick you up all the time, just seems such a close personal thing. Hang in there!!!!

Holy smokes... I agree with Rubie - I won't be complaining about being busy anytime soon! I'm so very impressed that you mothers out there can get so much done with those little ones around - I'm such a sucker for sleep, I'm pretty worthless without it!! So glad to hear you have such good support from your husband! Take care of yourself!

Nice job Momma! I was up at 4:30 after getting to sleep at about 2 after an emotional rollercoaster night from hell... guess I should have called lol! Yup I'm blood shot, drained and my god what I'd do for a caring hug. Hubby listened and went to bed about 11:30. After finding out the school now wants to take me on as a group he's offering to go since the donor doesn't give a crap. I may have my marital issues but he's do what is needed for the kids when it's that bad. I don't know how we are doing this but we all.... love you!

Yikes!! You sure do need some sleep and a break! What about a weekend without the little man? Can parents/in laws or a sitter take him for a night and give you and hubby a date night and good night's rest?

:( I really hope you can get a good nights rest tonight. Maybe feed the little one some baby cereal or something right before bed so he doesn't wake up hungry. Might get you at least another hour. Just don't fall asleep milking a cow. :)

You should have called! lol I was up playing peek a boo behind hubby's boxers as I was folding them. lmao You know you've lost it when you start playing peek a boo while folding clothes. Apparently sheets are hilarious. I'm still not sure why.

Wow!! You are BUSY...no wonder you are stressed! Hope things settle down a bit and you are able to get some rest. I agree with Bkeller, find someone to care for little man for the night, and then SLEEP...as for the housework...it'll still be there, it's not going anywhere.

Hope things get worked out for you - there is a limit you know. Is there any way someone else could do those barn chores for you?
