I almost lost my job this week. This new client watches every move I make and caught me going to non-work related websites. In my defense, I was in the middle of running a long term process for which I just sit around and watch a progress bar, but, it is what it is and that means I will be somewhat scarce for a while.

Things are going ok but I gained a little weight recently. I am hoping to get back down before my weigh in tomorrow. I have another counseling meeting with my dad and step mother next week.

I hope everyone is doing well and I will try to check in later this evening.

if i was in danger of losing my job for looking at non-work related websites i'd be fired by now!

If I was Jess' boss, I'd fire her too - if I didn't do the same thing, and would feel like a hypocrite. :D Anyway, I understand the need to keep the bandwidth usage down, and not go collecting any viruses; but in this day and age, it's good to have a safe place to vent, and I learn something new every day on the internet, that helps me with my job. If your IT Dept has good virus, spy and malware protection and you're not surfing sites of ill repute, it shouldn't be that big an issue - as long as you're getting your work done, and not costing the company money in having to increase bandwidth.

Ugh - yeah, it's a conflict. If you're on their equipment and time, it shouldn't be non work related, even on a break or during a 'down' time. So now you know and I know with your stellar work ethic it won't happen again. Take care of you and we'll see you when you get back to the safe zone!
