Note to self... when looking through black friday ads put the almonds away and step away from the bag. I repeat. Step away from the bag!
I discovered that sugar free candy is my gateway drug. Granted the net carbs are low according the the low carb sites that I looked at because its sugar alcohol and not sugar but... it opens the door wide open to all kinds of cravings and wants and random hand in the bag action. Bad hand! Bad bad hand!
Last night I didn't do great but I didn't do bad either. I still need to log what I can remember. It became a random grazing, snacking night since it was just the kids and I and 8 yr old wasn't hungry. When I did try to eat little man would get upset he wasn't being held or couldn't reach what I was eating. He's teething so he's being clingy and has me completely manipulated. He's learned to lift both his arms and make little cooing noises. How can you not pick him up when he does that?! Because.. if you don't he yells like a howler monkey. Then.. his bottom lip comes out and he wimpers and.. he's got me wrapped around his little finger. *Smacks head*
This weekend I'm going to do better. I'll be more active. I'll have plenty of good food choices. And.. I plan to keep on with the weight drop to reach my goal despite the holidays. I just need to bribe the 8 yr old with a dollar every time she catches me trying to cheat. She wants cash.. I want to not cheat. It could be a win-win.. or a win-lose depending on if I cheat or not. Either way it's a diet monitoring system. And.. I've got myself convinced that I'm teaching her good eating habits by getting her to watch what I'm shoving in my pie hole. In a twisted kinda way.. its a good thing. lol Maybe she can learn from my lack of control.

It's the whole can lead a horse to water but can't make them drink thing when I'm not there watching! Maybe I'll pay him for eating well lol. Nah that would be BAD!

My 31 year old son - still yells "MOM" when he sees me eat bad. He even calls from his 1200 miles away and says "are you still eating right?" Once you give them the power there is no taking it away! Beware!
