2 MILES! I did it! I ran two miles today. It was awesome. When that ticker on the treadmill hit 2.0, I let out a yell in the gym and everyone looked. This was my original goal, when I started trying to run 7 months ago back in February. The last time I tried running, I was 22, and I got up to the point where I could run 2 miles, then I just gave up and never started again. So I tried doing it again at the age of 39. I could only run for one minute at a time when I first started. Now, 2 weeks after my 40th birthday, I have hit my goal. Anything after this is just gravy. My next goal is to run 3.2 miles, so I can run a 5K. Right now I'm just enjoying hitting this goal. Other than that, I am so frustrated with the scale. At the gym, when I put it on 175, it's too heavy. When I put it on 150, I have to slide it up to 175. I don't know if I've gained weight or what. I don't understand what's going on with the frikkin' scale. My house scale is crap. It stayed on 180 even when I weighed 170 at the doctors office. So I just GIVE UP. I'm just going to keep my food in check and keep running and have faith that this will all work out in the wash.

AWESOME WORK!!! WOW - hey why don't you buy yourself a nice new scale as a reward for losing 50 damned pounds??? Amazon.com has some great ones and you can read reviews before you purchase - and return it if it sucks.
