I love these Sub Zero refrigerator ads on here that we have now. It's kind of a laugh. Sub Zero won't even tell you how much they cost until you are in the showroom, ready to buy. I have heard on the net that they cost about 12,000 dollars. I'm sure they're selling a lot of refrigerators at that price. When I lived in New York, I really wanted one. I thought, if I could live in the kind of apartment or loft that has a Sub Zero in it, then everything else would take care of itself lifestyle wise, because either myself or my intended husband would have to be able to afford one. Now I don't think I'll ever have a Sub Zero. They don't even have a showroom in my town, one would have to be shipped in. And seeing as the typical unit weighs 800 pounds, one could imagine how much THAT would cost. They still are sweet refrigerators. I've been in a few places that had one and I was impressed. I am still doing well on the caffeine. This is Day 4. I have faithfully been drinking decaf coffee, decaf diet soda, and flavored water. It hasn't been bad at all. I think of all the things I have given up, this is the most painless. I think my food is back om track, too - I had a little over 1250 calories yesterday and am going to have 1263 calories today. So that's good. And I get to eat sugar free yellow cake with sugar free chocolate frosting. Can't get much better than that when you're diabetic and on a diet. I also ran 1.25 miles at the gym yesterday, which is the farthest I've run since I was 22 years old. It felt great! I just want to build on it. I want to spend the rest of this month and September building distance. When I get to 2 miles, I will work on speed. Then the next step is to get off the treadmill and onto the track, so eventually I can get on the street. I love the sense of accomplishment and control I get from running. It's all up to me. With dieting, it is up to you, but sometimes you have no control over your body. You can be 100% on plan, exercising, all that, and you can hit plateaus or go through periods where your body just doesn't want to give up weight. It's super frustrating. It's frustrating doing everything you're supposed to in order to get results and not getting those results. Usually if you keep it up long enough, the engine will slowly start to move again and you'll be back losing weight. Still, it's super hard keeping the faith while you wait for that to happen. I have my big weigh in next week, and I'm worried that I will get my period right at that time. Usually when I get the monthly bill, I gain 5 pounds. I sooooo do not want to do that. I sooooo want my doctor to see my nice weight loss since July 10 when I saw her last. Maybe I'll be lucky and my period will hit this week and I can get it out of the way before I go in. I hope so.
