Good morning peoples of the world! 208.8 on a Monday, it is a good day.

Mondays dont mean much to me, I like my job, I only work 4 days a week. Technically I am supposed to be off today, but it is too windy to bike ride, so I came in and will take off Tuesday (tomorrow). Plus a big ship is coming in today in the afternoon, so base will be the suck for the next few days.

I do support our troops, and I know these guys need a break from the ship, but they are really a disruption. They put port-a-lets around because of the excess drinking and partying on base. Last time they put it near our grocery store, and they overflowed into a river of effluent that flowed across a courtyard. The smell was bad for weeks. Not the kids from the ship fault, more like the base dummies. Oh well.

Also, why do they run to A&W? Its like they go in a beeline to the crappiest nasty food possible. I guess the food onboard is pretty bad, and they are all like 18-21 it seems. Some of them look younger than my kids. Its a trip.

Anyway, they act like kids, and are generally a bunch of big dummies, but there is massive amounts of booze involved. I guess its a way to generate revenue, and that is what it is all about.

Kicked butt on my DSST of Management Information Systems yesterday. 474 which is a very good score.

Anyway, back to my diet and weight loss. Yesterday was good. Had my chicken lunch, and a chicken and veggie dinner. Did not ride bikes because I was planning on riding today. It is way too windy (16 knots) today, and tomorrow is forecast to be better. So I am taking a break. Shoot, maybe I should take a break all week. hehe. Silly how now Ramadan is over and I cannot ride now.

Anyway, off to work.

208.8 lb Lost so far: 60.2 lb.    Still to go: 23.8 lb.    Diet followed reasonably well.

I used to be a crime reporter in a Navy town, and ready the whole police blotter reports daily. The cops would be out of a job without those dumb kid sailors who racked up DWIs. Definitely a poor reflection on the good people who serve.

Yes it is Heidi. I almost feel bad for them, they are cooped up on a ship, and then get released into the world. I think I would go crazy too! I dont think there is any amount of counseling or briefs that can prevent it.

LOL - posterchild! We will be getting domestic help after this episode! It does sound good you have the flexibility with your work - it makes life so much easier. I have my own business and can often rearrange my schedule, too. Have a great day and ride tomorrow!

Why do they go to the first A&W? I can commiserate..After I spent time in the Peruvian Jungle, I could not wait to get my mouth around a big American Cheeseburger! And, my was it good, with a cold draft beer. Jungle food is healthy, but gots to have fat 'bif' once in a while!
