Son of a Butterfinger! I've decided today that Butterfinger is a bad word. There is a basket of them on a cabinet right down from my office calling to me. Apparently someone decided it was a good idea to try and raise funds by selling candy bars. It's not for a school fund or sick person or anything like that. It's for the coffee club. I wonder what they're going to do with any money they make.. probably buy more candy to sell and torture me with it by making the basket of candy even bigger and closer to my office. It's a conspiracy!
It's day 2 of my own personal challenge. I decided yesterday after looking at the mountain ranges that make up my stomach that I would do 100 sit-ups a day. Well.. technically I said 300 but after the first 100 it became 100 because I'm pretty sure 300 would have killed me. I'm proud to report that it's day two and I've done it two days in a row now. I'm also ready to report that I'm seriously out of shape! If my stomach was burning on day 2 then I suppose I can expect serious issues on day 3.
It's probably a good thing I started this when I did because now I have something I can accomplish and feel good about since I can't control the scale! This morning I noticed I haven't lost any weight since monday. I suppose it's unreasonable to expect over 2 lb weight losses a week but well.. I still have 3 days to try! That and it's Friday and I know there aren't any butterfingers at my house.. just a fair with fried dough and yummies.

Butterfingers are pure evil - and if you slip up and eat one they are as addicting as crack. Be strong!

A slow and steady drop is always the best way - you are doing fine, but you need to bomb the butterfingers....maybe announce loudly "I hear these have been recalled by the supplier, something about contamination...", no sales, no replacements :)

candy jars are pure evil. i never feel the need to buy candy, but as soon as it is sitting in a jar at work i cannot help myself. if i have one i will end up having ten.

On NO NOT BUTTERFINGERS???? I love those..haven't had one in ages...
So glad they are not near me..if you have passed them up your doing a super job..congrats on the sit ups..You rock girl..:O)

Butterfingers on the loose? It's not close enough to Halloween for those to be allowed to torment us! Good job on the sit-ups. 100 are more than I can do in my dreams, and even then I'd probably wake up with sore stomach muscles... or is that otherwise called a nightmare. But I will take your lead and will try to begin with five tonight (got to start somewhere).

Sit-ups - wow, great job! And, yes, Butterfingers are pure evil! What I do is tell myself these type of foods simply are not an option anymore and walk right by them like I didn't even see them. They are off my radar.
|
That is a ton of sit ups! Good for you! I walked 3 consecutive miles this morning, have been doing a mile or mile and a half here and there. Yikes! could I feel it in my legs, but then I've been doing extra squats and lunges this week. I take my monthly measurements next week and want that number to go down since the scale has not!

butterfingers get stuck in my teeth too bad, so they're one of the candy bars I don't typically eat. I'd be fine. sit-ups are great and all, but throw in some planks! that'll really tone you up and cause some next-day soreness!

Arghhhh ... not the dreaded Planks??? I hate them but Jess is RIGHT - they are very effective on abdominal muscles!

LOL....I don't even know what a BUtterfinger is ;), but they must be good by the sounds of it. Alternate your sit ups with sideway ones. They will tighten your waist & give you a good all way round ache :)
