What a fabulous day in the sun with my son :) We drove for an hour to get there and sang to loud music all the way, then bought some lunch and ate on the beach, sun tanned and I had a swim (cool at first, but got used to it pretty quickly).
So today I am grateful for my son Byron and the relationship that we have. For those of you that read my journal yesterday about abusive people, I thought I would post pics of Byron - these were taken by a street fashion photographer in NYC this June - yeah so all those haters, you are just jealous.....
I hope my Buddies all had a fab Friday and are looking forward to the weekend.

I work for a construction company. The workers personal styles are varied: dreadlocks, tattoos and piercings, etc. Byron looks very normal to me.

HA HA! He is COOL! Love the eyebrows! He is quite a dishie looking kid! How old is he. You have to be proud of him. He is an original! Love his look! Does he model? He should if he doesn't already!

I don't see how anyone could call him hideous! He is a very attractive guy. You are right they are just jealous, and they need to get a life!

OK...even if he wasn't attractive (which I think HE IS) but I have to mention in response to Mars2kids comment-even if he was unattractive-what right do people have to yell hateful things to others. We as humans...sometimes I am embarrassed to be part of this race. Your son is awesome. Mean people suck...but there are lovers out there to cancel out the haters-we just have to surround ourselves with good people. I wish your son the best life can offer!

Thanks Buffy - I will admit that this is one of his calmer looks - he currently has mint green hair lol!!

Thank you M2B - he's seventeen and I am extremely proud. He begrudgingly does a little modelling (he doesn't think he's good looking enough for it - but with the abuse it's no wonder!), but he working towards being a fashion stylist.

Hey did you catch what that woman looked like???..I bet she needs glasses. your son is a doll..and I love his eyebrows..that is a statement...he is his own person and thats great...I agree he should be a model..Glad you had fun at the beach...Have a great rest of the weekend...:O)

Beautiful boy, Tracy. Gosh, he looks so young. So sorry I missed him while he was here. Mint green hair? LOL Glad you guys had such a special day.

Good Lord! He's gorgeous. My youngest son ran the gamut, style wise. I think he's had every hair color and style in the book. He'll be 40 this month and has gotten pretty bald. He does more of a Bruce Willis type, shaved head now. LOL!
