I have decided in an attempt to divorce myself from the scale to only record my weight every two weeks. Since my weight loss slowed it has been bouncing around and even though the overall trend is down there are weeks where I gain a bit. I still jump on the scale every now and then to to see where I'm at but I'm goiing to try to cut that down as well.
Walking with the dogs this morning I noticed that they now have to trot to keep up to me, before it use to be a slow leisurely walk and slowly but surely it is turning into a power walk.
I am grateful for
-My dogs, they love me even when I'm grumpy or sad. -Finding Fatsecret and hopefully ending my life long yo yo dieting -All of the beautiful flowers I have in my garden

You sound like your doing great! Just remember that weight loss isnt just about getting a low number its about improving your health and fitness also.

FOL, you are doing amazing! I agree about the scale...it isn't always the best indicator of how you are doing. Good job making those dogs trot. Have a great day...need to go back and update my journal and add my grateful list...hmmm, perhaps I should be grateful that the windows were down, and the critter didn't decide to tear through the convertible top??? LOL

Hi, I too need to hide my scales. I'm like an addict whenever I see them I have to jump on. The constant yo-yoing is annoying at times.
I have also noticed that I seem to be a good one to two paces into front of my dog now. Its gone from me pulling him back to him now pulling me back.

That is fantastic - making those dogs trot now! And, YOU ARE RIGHT - your weight is a great downward trend. I still say log the 265 from two days ago!!! LOL -

I love your "grateful" list today. I am so grateful for Bonnie for getting us to do this. I don't know why but I have been jumping on the scale every morning again and I do much better when I face it once a week. I tend to eat more carefully too... just because of the BIG WEIGH IN DAY. LOL! It works for me. How cool your dogs are getting in a work out with their mama. I love my furbabies too. What a comfort they are. HUGS!!!!
