I don't usually record a journal this late at night (11:07 pm, PST, USA) but I'm up, I'm on here, and I'm flustered.

First of all, went to the Dr today for a "pain in the neck"- HA! Which I love that my Dr picked up on the humor! But he didn't actually find anything wrong with it. Thinks it might be a combo of poor posture at my computer job/chair (10 month new-ish job) and possibly due to weight loss in my shoulders/etc leading to a remaining "hump" in my upper back/lower neck area which “may” go away with continual weight loss. :(

My weight is down 17# from this time last year (8/11)-which was my last Dr. visit. When I told them I had gained more but now am down 30# they were pleasantly impressed (though never asking how).

But I was very disappointed to see my blood pressure is high: 132/86. I have always had naturally low, almost chronically low, BP closer to 107/68 my whole adult life. I have been on birth control pills for 30 months (due to hormonal imbalance) which has weirdly helped raise my BP to a certain extent. I also attribute it to a certain amount of “ankle swelling”/water retention. I have tried to help it in the past with lower salt intake, but have lately lost focus. Neither Dr nor I are willing to put me on "low blood pressure meds”. He says it makes no sense to prescribe one pill to counter-act another pill. Maybe once I am past my possibly "very early Pari-menopausal" symptoms (I only turned 40 this year) we’ll see where I stand. But I am maintaining for now.

I have a full “blood chem” planned for tomorrow. Blood sugar, cholesterol, kidney/liver function, etc. So we’ll see where I stand.

Crap. just realized that my MIO water I've been dinking from 8:15 on-isn't allowed if you're doing a blood sugar chem. 12 hour fast with water or straight coffee/tea ("no artificial sweeteners") which just in'na gonna happen until 11:30am tomorrow. I'd starve, let alone have no food for my vitamines. Ok, gonna re-group and get it straight for the next day. Stop Mio/diet soda by 9:00pm!!
