Hi FatSecret friends. I got back on roller skates tonight and spent about 90 minutes skating on them tonight. It was a good workout and my knee is feeling really good. The weight that I have lost so far has made all the difference. I am glad that I was able to use my skates again and I noticed that my boots felt a little bigger too. I didn't realize that I had gained and lost weight in my feet too lol. They are more comfortable again to wear. :)

Here is a pic of me with my mother in law (she skates too) at the rink. The pic is a little blurry and my head got chopped a little on top, but I thought I would share so you can see that I really went. :) My skates are speed skates (short boot) and I got some speed on them tonight.

Yes, a great way to burn calories. Probably why I stayed skinny when I skated several times a week when I was younger. I have been skating since my early teens, so over 30 years. Until my doctor told me I had to lose weight and that I shouldn't skate especially with the excess weight, I was skating several times a year whenever I could find the time.
