On my Low Carb, High Fat diet...Barry Groves is who initially inspired me to try this with his wife's story...she is so similar to me in height and weight....She has been doing this for most of her life now (she's 74 and looks amazing!) http://www.second-opinions.co.uk/nhwl.html
So I am shooting for these ratios according to Barry Groves:
Carbs: 10-15% (50-75 grams) Protein: 15-25% (at least 50 - 100 grams a day) or 1.5g per lean kg for me that would be about 88g of protein/day. Fat: 60-70%
I've been doing good staying within these ranges. I need to figure out the Calorie thing now.....He says to eat enough to satisfy you (not count calories) well....hmmmm, I guess that means my calorie intake will change day to day.
I have to say that I will be thrilled with a 1-2 pound loss a week. That would mean that I would make goal in 12 to 23 weeks! I've committed to trying this for a full 3 months so I will see where I am at that point and decide to continue or try something different.
