Finally. Boy, you and that ham. Who knew there was such a love affair there - and all this time I thought it was all about dirty carbs and blueberry yogurt pie. I'll be sure and add ham to the list of no-nos I keep at the ready. Glad the water weight is leaving. And just in time for your upcoming road trip. Care to share your success strategy for the 3-4 days away from access to fresh, healthy food?

... and that's all what I ham. I'll be doing my training among one of the aboriginal First Nations in northern BC. I'm completely thrilled with the idea. They are a gracious and forward looking people. Once they get to know you, there is no group I have ever met with a better sense of humour. My decision is as follows. If there is a meal provided, I will enjoy it to the full but keep the carbs down. Meals will not include McD or Pizza Hut or any other fast food establishment. If I'm forced (forced :D) to eat out, it will at least be at a restaurant where I have some control over what I will eat. Meat and veggies... tell them to skip the fries. Honestly, I look back at that weekend and not only am I disgusted by the fallout, I remember it as being completely unsatisfying. A good homemade pizza from time to time (if it fits) is a yes. Store bought. Yuck! A good home made burger? Yes. Albert and Walters or McD? Yuck! It's just not the way I remember it.
