Was hoping somebody could help me keep motivated!! I know a fair bit about weightloss, but the problem is that i have a lot to lose in a short period of time! I do have a competitive side, and I would love a little competition!

Hi, I am new, I am not sure how this program and site works and I really hope that I can get motivation, tips and guidelines to finally get back in shape. I am about 38kg overweight and really need to get rid of this. I know a bit of weightloss, but I need this to work and stay off. i have started with an cardio & toning excersize program today and also take my dog for walks on the beach (weather permitted)

im new at this as well but just a few tips on staying on top of the game. #1. suround yourself with people that support you, #2. if you have a bad day, dont call it quits, start fresh the next day.
#3. whole wheats, veggies, fruits and lots of protein works for me. actually i eat alittle protein with every meal/5 meals a day, and i excercise 5-6 days a week. i started a healthy lifestyle 4 months ago and have lost a total of 30 lbs so far, its not easy to stay motivated all the time but i feel so much better and that helps me stay motivated. hope this is somewhat of an encouragement!

I'm doing a Ultimate Reset Challenge on September 3, 2012. It's a 21 day NON starvation detox program.
You need to eat!! Your body need proper fuel/food so it will function properly. If you are only eating lettuce your body is holding onto your stored fat for survival.
I'd love to help you on your fitness journey. Let me know if you are interested. You should also check out the challenge I have set up.

For those that mention recipes and putting meals together I'm afraid I'm not imaginative and tend to use a range of recipe books. For breakfast and lunch I don't have that issue as this time round I've reached for Herbalife and seeing more success than I did with Weight Watchers and Slimming World where I was hungry and negotiating points so that I could still drink (which defeats the purpose!).
I've finally kicked the alcohol during the week which was a big one for me.
I've opted for the pound a week approach this time rather than looking for big losses early on and this has been more successful with 12 pounds in 8 weeks as I ended up losing more in a few of the weeks.
My biggest success was with Atkins where I felt great and lost weight quite quickly (3 stones in 3 months) - mind you I had a starting point of 16 stone so had a lot to lose! But then I fell pregnant and gained all of it and more and then Atkins wouldn't work the second time round.
Good luck to us all!!

Highly recommend Paleo or Primal Blueprint. I've never had success like this before and feel great, not hungry or faint. No sugar, no grain. Might be hard at first for most, but stick with it. It works.

In order to lose weight one must be able to know how to eat in moderation and exercise. You can practice eating in moderation by counting calories, measuring portions, learning about your nutritional needs and planning healthy meals are good ways of practicing moderation. Also you must combine a tolerable calorie restriction and exercise. And please don't deny yourself from foods that you enjoy very much due to the goal is to follow a healthy, balanced, and enjoyable nutrition and fitness plan that you can stick with in the long run.

If you really want to have a nice body , you have to exercise !!!
if you don't exersise you will never have a good body only with diet .
Don't think a lot !! Just do it !!! Add 60 minutes cardio 5 days a week and you will see results!!!
Edit : how old are you and you go school?

I too have Sumba 2 on the Wii I don't do the whole session at once I break it down to 20 minutes 3 times Day. Try this you will get the same effect as staying with the whole program all at once. Good Luck

Best time for doing exercise, morning or night?
Let's face it, we are all differnt. It really doesn't make any difference, just as long as exercise. Let's all learn to listen to our own bodies, and what is right for us, not some one else.
