I just started to do exercise on working my fat belly. I'm a beginner on exercises. I started 1 month ago, still hanging on its a tough job and painful. Can anyone direct to the right path?

it is difficult to help when you do not share any information on your weight, diet etc.
If you are very overweight I would suggest to start with low impact activities like walking and swimming to help loosing fat, coupled with a bit of resistance training if you can manage, nothing to fancy just body weight exercises.
After a few weeks of conditioning and loosing weight you can start increasing the efforts

working out your stomach will not burn stomach fat. Here are a few tricks that worked for me: 1 drink alot of water, especially pre-meal 2 go to bed earlier and dont eat late at night 3 start body building and get knowledgeable via the internet and youtube 4 do some high intensity interval training / swimming and some endurance running 5 start doing your groceries and only buy healthy foods aka lean protein (fish, bird, egg, yogurt, cottage cheese), veggies, fruits, nuts, whole grains if you must, and for your sweet tooth some dark chocolate.
ok i hope this helps get you started.

Mattyelle, please explain why we should not eat late at night. That is when I have my largest meal. This should be good.

LOL Diablo we all know, you think that it doesn't matter what kind of food you consume or at what time. Yes, you can lose weight eating pizza if it doesn't go over your RDI but I like to think about my health first so that's why I reader eat cabbage for an example than junk food. I don't like eating dinner so I just have a cappuccino or tea till 8pm, I go to bed at midnight. I don't like to go to bed with a full tummy and being hungry never bothered me. I do think that my way: a big breakfast and no dinner or a small one is the better way for weight loss. My boyfriend is a bodybuilder so I know where you are coming from. Protein all the time.

Ehh, you probably get more protein than me. Check my log. You simply posted a preference. I was waiting on an answer on why we should not eat at a certain time as if it matters.

Diablo360x, the recommendation for not eating at night is often not based on the principal it's espousing. Rather, it's a rule that's designed to discourage bad habits that some people have.
Lots of people tend to eat well through most of the day, but in the evenings when their schedule is often less regimented they will tend to fall back into old habits. They'll snack on whatever is around, often without measuring or paying attention to the nutrition that they're consuming.
There is no good reason for not eating at night rather than during the day, provided you do so thoughtfully rather than haphazardly. "Don't eat late at night" is a training-wheels rule that really is helpful for some people, since it helps them break bad habits.

These things should be explained then. We all know there is a myth that eating late at night, especially carbs is bad because the unused carbs are stored as bodyfat. This kind of advice only strengthens this myth. This is a calorie counting website, of course you must still make sure to remain in a deficit when trying to lose fat.....

You shouldn't eat late at night as your metabolism is at its slowest when you sleep, therefore gaining weight and/or storing food that needn't be stored in your fat cells. I have 'flab' on my stomach and I found that by eating healthily, running and doing sit-ups in the morning and evening, my stomach fat reduced significantly. Give it a try

Bee Humble, if you are interested in some abdominal exercise, there is a Jennifer Galardi video on Youtube called Standing Abs. It's only 10 minutes and not too difficult, but works your muscles.

You simply "stuck" to a calorie deficit. Flab is lost through a calories deficit. The time of day is irrelevant.

Check out planet fitness for only $10 per month,if there is one nearby. They have a personal trainer on staff that can show you great excercises for your core. You can do ab work every day. Also check out shape magazine online. I get alot of workout ideas from there. If I see one that I can't figure out I show it to the pf trainer and she will show how it is done and if it is worthy and safe for me.
