I headed over to a local farmers market @ 10 am this morning before all the good stuff was gone. They are only there on Fridays and I was hoping to get some fresh fruit and vegs.
To my surprise they don't open until noon
I thought farmers were up with the chickens

They had to feed the chickens, and the cows, and the pigs before they came
I used to have chickens and I don't think they ever slept! You could hear the rooster crowing at 3 and 4 in the morning.

I know there is a lot to do before they go to market. I did go back at noon and bought some beautiful Jersey corn and tomatoes. Can't wait for dinner tonight

I have a farmers market just 5 blocks from my house and on my way to work....but they are only there on Fridays and I have to be at work at 7:15 a.m. and they are closed when I get off. Maybe soon they will move to Saturdays! Last night I bought yellow squash at Whole Foods and cooked one for myself with a little onion (southern style). It was delicious. Have a great weekend!

We had a decent sized garden last year. I miss it. Especially the lima beans. They were sooo good. And the zucchini for zucchini bread. Although I think that one is probably a blessing in disguise!

weigh in
Good luck! I weigh in every day which has to stop. It is too easy to get caught up in the excitement of seeing the scale drop so much in a week-that is because of water weight I am sure.

Need suggestions on healthy/low-calorie foods.
You can use shakes for a few days. I have used the Atkins shakes and they are very good tasting. Soups are good though as stated above you may have to puree them. You could puree or blend cottage cheese ...
