Hello fellow low-carbers,
I am looking for an easier software to use when analyzing the nutritional value of recipes. I find the one on this site bulky and without many of the amounts I need. I would be happy with a free version but am willing to pay for one. Has anyone tried any other software that analyzes recipes?

I use this calculator
http://recipes.sparkpeople.com/recipe-calculator.asp
to figure out how many calories are in the dishes I make. Then you can enter that info as a "custom food" entry here on fatsecret. It will be saved for future entries in your diet calendar.

I use an app called 'Lose It' on my ipad for this purpose. It's easy to use and after I get the nutritional data for one serving, I pop that into FatSecret as a 'custom food'.

Even though fat doesn't count in Atkins, it can cause you to gain or not lose weight if you consume too much. Be careful of over eating this nutrient. ie: cream, cream cheese.
