Mobile diet apps can help people lose weight, study finds

Mobile-device applications that monitor calorie intake and exercise can help people lose weight, University of Pittsburgh researchers reported in the American Journal of Preventive Medicine. Data showed that overweight or obese adults who used electronic or paper diaries more than 60% of the time lost more weight than did those who used them less frequently, but people using a device with feedback had the most success.

So we all need to give each other more feedback....

well i think they could put their research money to a better use rather than to restate the obvious, anyway good for them...

Good point Paperiniko, I see so many studies that are silly. "Smoking crack/meth/cigarettes is bad for unborn fetuses". Really, did we spend money to find that out?? This looks like another case of that.
