Hello all.
ok so I'm new here. I've never done a "diet" before. my dr has recently told me if i dont change my diet I'm gonna end up being diabetic. my question for you guys is ...
what would be a lower carb option for tortilla chips?
I have been ok ish with the change to my diet but the chips and salsa thing is killing me. lol

I used to take cucumber slices or zucchini slices to Mexican restaurants with me in a ziploc bag. I'm not a low carb person, but those worked for me. Good luck!

If it's at home, I would splurge on a serving of the real thing once in a while. Measure them out, savor them, and enjoy it! Total deprivation doesn't work and 1 serving of tortilla chips every week or so is not going to tank your diet- it's far better to indulge in moderation than to fall off the wagon and eat two baskets full the next time you're at a Mexican restaurant. Try eating a large salad dressed with lots of salsa and a few chips to munch in between bites of salad.

I second what gnat said, but if you decide to look for an alternative try this out:
Start with some of these
Cut into triangles
Bake at 350F for bout 20-25 minutes flipping once
get something like this
“We are what we repeatedly do. Excellence, therefore, is not an act but a habit.”
