I am a 28 year old stay at home mom. I am new to this site. I am hoping it will help me stay motivated. I would really like to be healthy and feel better about myself. This seems like a good way to have some support.

Oh yes, it is a great place for support. Also, it is a great place to find information like recipes, and read people's personal experiences on different diets. You might read someone's journal and think, "oh, so that's what I'm doing wrong" or even "been there, done that let me reply to them and tell them how to get through it". I love this community.
Dieting is like religion. There are the basic rules that everyone should follow. The rest you personalize to a lifestyle for the best results.

Welcome to the site. It is a very effective tool to assist in both the physical and emotional side of losing weight.
I am sure if you put your mind to it and with support from people here you will do great.

Welcome! I am a 27 year old stay at home mom, I love this site, I have tried other weight loss communities, but I personally like this one best. It's a great support!

Welcome aboard - this IS the place to be if you want to drop some weight. I started out unsure whether I could do this or not, and look at me now. If I can do this, anyone can. Seriously.
As already suggested, stick around, participate and read, read, read. Write a journal, ask questions. The more we learn, the better we do this.
Enjoy your journey - I know I have, and it's ALL worth it.

Hello
Hello finding what works and is sustainable for you is key. Also burning more calories then what we consume is part of the equation too. This journey is a marathon and not a sprint. Good luck
