If you need to lose 12 pounds in 3 weeks I would suggest lopping off an arm or a leg. It would be faster and probably less dangerous.
If you are OK with gaining it all back (plus some most likely) after your 3 week deadline, then by all means go ahead and starve yourself.

I'm on the HCG diet n in 24 days i lose 15 lbs.
They say normal is 5lbs in 1 week.
The first week i lost 7 lbs but now is real hard to lose more than 3 to me whaaa.
Ya is hard to just have 500-600 calories a day in the beginning
but you all will get use to it. I'm enjoying it now.
Good luck to you all.

You can find this diet in the "Dangerously Unhealthy" section of diet advertising everywhere.

That's absolutely true... 500 calories per day will wreck your body. If you weigh 100 lbs you need around 1000 calories just to survive. 500 will starve you and do horrible things to your organs and metabolism.
Fix your nutrition with regular, healthy food, and increased exercise and make it a lifestyle. Fad diets can be dangerous...HCG is absolutely one of those.

i had some diet pills and lost 24lb in 3 weeks you can def' do it my intake was about 300 a day but thats very low and when i stopped i binged, if hcg is similar prepare for overwhelming thoughts about food when you stop, and plan what to eat to avoid piling it all back on. as for dangerous i think short term you'll be fine. when you stop try things like veg soup and light food otherwise you might hurt your belly. good luck x
think thin?

Short term or long term, that low of a calorie deficit is going to wreak havoc on your metabolic system. It will wreck your body.

I did HCG. I lost 22 lbs in a month and kept it off for 3 months, quit smoking, gained 10 lbs and thought I would do HCG again. It destroyed my thyroid and I put on 40 lbs in 6 weeks. I am now on thyroid meds for the rest of my life. Be careful.

Actually HCG is amazing, but is a medical protocol and not a diet and needs to be done correctly. If you do HCG for 3 weeks, and then maintenance for 3 weeks, you will stabilize your new weight. But then you can't go back to eating the way you did. If you eat more then your body can process, not matter how you took it off, you will gain weight again.
I have done the HCG protocol 3 times and am at my goal weight for 3 years and am in the best shape and feel the best I have in 15 years. But I have changed how I view food, how I eat and look at food.
We have had 500 people go through this diet with the doctor I work for and I see amazing results. The people who do gain it back go back to poor eating habits.
HCG causes your body to release 2000 calories of your own fat that your body uses as energy and you eat calories on top of that. So it is NOT a low calorie diet. Your body is getting 2500 calories a day. Maybe not through your mouth, but you are not starving! But this is what allows you to burn that unwanted and unhealthy fat around your middle area.
I find it very safe and healthy, but I go through a doctor, did my research and ate organic and healthy.
OH and for those of you that are addicted to food. Think about it, it is so strick, that when you want to eat more, you can't cheat on this diet. So you are forced to think about why you are eating, right. 9 times out of 10 you want to eat out of habit, stress or emotional eating. But for 21 days, you have to really look at your habits and form new ones.
I am very impressed with this diet protocol from personal success!
I find it weird that people blame

This is an ongoing discussion on here. Some say it's great, some say it'll almost kill you.
My opinion? If there is any doubt whether it's dangerous or not, then why do it in the first place when there are known, healthy, EASIER ways to do it.

Thanks for all the feedback. I lost 10 lbs doing the HCG in May/June and looked and felt great! Then went back to eating and drinking like I used to and after Christmas and all the Events I went to in Jan and Feb I put all that weight back on and more! I tried to do the HCG again but wasnt as committed, so it was a waste of money! I need to get focused again and stop drinking and snacking... It's emotional eating and lack of discipline and motivation! I've hit menopause and that hasn't help. Sleeping poorly and no motivation to get up and exercise... Viscious cycle of ups and downs makes me depressed so I just give up!!!! I try to only eat salads and soups at night and a raw smoothie in the am... Still can't budge on the scales!!!

It's not dangerous at all and I personally don't know of an easier or healthier way to loose weight! It teaches you how to look at food differently,in a whole new way. But there certainly are a lot of people out there that hold onto old ways of loosing weight and eating and don't want to be open minded. But on this medical protocol you eat organically and only protein, veggies and 2 fruits a day. In my book, it has changed my life for good! I have kept my weight off for 3 years. I have tried every diet out there and this is the only one that has helped me be in control of food and not be obsessed by food! I have also helped 500 people with this protocol and have seen them succeed as well, so it's amazing to me!

I started HCG injections and am following a 750 calorie diet from Dr. Emma
http://dremmasdiet.com/.
This is the clinic I am going to and I love it. It is a healthy holistic apporach. I have been trying to lose weight for 15 years and my body just doesn't process food like some others. I am shocking and leansing my body. Since April 14th I am down 2% in body fat and 9 pounds and I am not hungry at all! I also drink 115 ounces of water which was a bit hard but I am doing it and can already tell a huge difference. My skin is softer and I am told that I am glowing. I have energy and just feel amazing. I have a ways to go but I look forward to it!
