I was dying for some crunchy chicken strips so I decided to make my own! All you need:
1/2 cup flax meal (0g carbs)
1/2 cup organic walnuts (crushed) (4g carbs)
1 chicken breast (0g carbs)
1 egg (less than 1g carbs)
Salt, pepper & garlic powder for flavour!
Cut chicken breast into 4 strips, dip into egg, and roll into flax meal, walnut, and spice mixture. Bake or Fry and enjoy!! If youre on a low carb diet, dont be afraid to fry them. Eating low carb always makes me naturally eat low calorie as well, sometimes too low. So this is great if you need to increase your daily calorie intake! Chicken strips would be just over 1g carbs each.
Enjoy!!
