Would like to chat with members who have a big problem eating late at night. I think I inherited it from my daddy. He could put away a whole pie in one night. I'm not that bad but I do like my cold cereal or instant mashed potatoes with cheese on them. HELP!!!

one of my meds gave me the midnight munchies & slowed my metabolism. double whammy! luckily i'm now taking a medication that puts me straight to bed, so i don't end up snacking. maybe try planning your late-night cravings & replace with healthy foods & pre-portioned snacks. mashed cauliflower is REALLY delicious, especially with lots of garlic. i make mine vegan, supposedly nutritional yeast tastes cheesey. i've cut back on my snacking by planning everything i eat & portioning out my meals in advance. if you like ice cream (i mean, really?! silly ?) try soy delicious chocolate. a pint is about $5 @ yr local market, so it really makes you 1: appreciate, 2: limit portions to a spoon or two. this stuff is amazing. made with coconut milk (not soy) & agave nectar (low-glycemic), about 160 cals for 1/4 of the pint. not bad compared to ben & jerry's. you can get a coupon at turtlemountain.com , i HIGHLY recommend the chocolate flavor, it's my fav. i also portion out pre-cut fruit, cucumbers, even salad mix (no dressing) for snacking. mmmmm. herbs & lettuce are so tasty. better than chips! ooooh, try kale chips too. they're really easy to make. message me for a quick recipe.

peace & love, - d

Special K berry cereal with a high protein yogurt is a great evening snack and fairly low in calories.
