Adapted from something that's making the rounds on Facebook:

Whenever you see the words low-fat, fat-free, or sugar-free, think of the words "chemical $#!+storm" instead.

Disclaimer: Applies to foods in boxes, cans, and bags.
Although I guess I've never seen steak marketed as Sugar Free.

Right. I got burned once when I impulse-bought fruit juice popsicles with "no added sugar". (I needed one or two for a photo shoot, and figured I'd just eat the rest.) I assumed that label meant that it was just fruit juice, but then I took a bite of one and threw the rest out-- it was fruit juice plus artificial sweeteners.

Well, Nimm you have just given beef producers their new tag line. Steak - sugar free!
I try to avoid all that "free" stuff. I never liked the taste and I figure it is not the original food item that causes the problems, it is that I eat too much of it.
Oh and can anyone find regular yogurt? I used to get it at costco but now all I can find anywhere is low-fat or fat-free yogurt! AGGGGGHHHHHH

For regular whole milk yogurt, it's usually available by the quart in crunchier stores like Wholefoods or Trader Joe's. Look for Brown Cow or Stony Field. I buy it for my little kids, who refuse to drink milk.

I'd add one caveat- you often see "fat free" on things that have never had fat in them to begin with as a marketing device. I seem to recall seeing this on packages for items like raisins and oatmeal. As always, some critical thinking is required...
