I know the diet inside out as I followed it in 2009 and I love the food and I lost nearly 30kg in 4 months, but did not stick to it till the end, ending up picking up all of the lost kg and more. I want to start this again with my husband as he is very supportive and even join the gym with me. My problem here is that he does not eat eggs or vegatbles. What do I do for breakfast for him and he cannot eat meat alone. He does love his green salad and will eat some of the veggies...........please help!!!

don't you think its the wrong approach? losing so much weight so fast can't be good for your body or skin, and like Atkins himself, you put it all back on. Everything in moderation is my motto.

Since I post the topic this morning I went and did some reading on the diet and actually decided to not follow the diet. I will however cut down on carbs in the form of bread etc and try to have more fruits and veggies.

I have had salad with breakfast before. I personally don't eat soy any more, but soy scrambles are tasty. You could also do a modified low-carb diet. Just cut the higher carb fruits and chose smaller amounts of lower-carb grains for him. My husband does very well just cutting those things.
Love the food that loves you back.
Take it one day at a time!

I really wish you'd stop spreading lies around here about Atkins. He did not "put it all back on" like you keep wanting to claim. He hit his head, went into a coma, suffered organ failure and gained fluids from that and IVs while in the hospital before finally passing away. Prior that that incident he was perfectly healthy and at an acceptable weight.
