Hey guys! I wanted to write a post about fighting temptations because I had a huge struggle over the last couple of days to stay on track. I was with my friends that dont really support my decision to be on such a strict diet, especially when I am limited to very few things when going out to eat at a restaurant. This is what I have learned.

When I am hungry I instantly want those foods that will make me feel good (initially). High carb foods such as, pizza, pasta, or garlic bread with cheese (one of my favorites). Then leaving me with nothing but guilt and regret. That is simply me being hungry and my mind and stomach going to what I know best....BAD FOODS!!!! If you are strong enough to fight the temptation and go with something healthy, I chose a simple mixed greens salad with chicken, and water to drink. You will feel satisfied. You will feel so grateful that you didn't go for any of those other foods you were thinking about and that is a very rewarding feeling! It definitely motivates me to keep going!

Well put. I experience the same thing, as I am sure others do too.

At first we want all the baddies that we know are bad. Then, if we give in, we feel bad. However, if we manage to turn it around, we will not only be feeling good from the obviously better food choices we've made, but also from the pride of doing it right.

Thanks for reminding us. Smile

Good for you, Lirie! I also find that I crave carbs/sweets when I'm dehydrated. In that case, I'll eat a piece of fruit and then start downing the water. However, I've found that it can take up to 2 hours for the sweet cravings to go away. If it lasts longer than 30 minutes, I'll leave the house and go run an errand.
