"Down" 3# over night . .. . no cheese sticks, dairy etc and off it comes. . . now that is hard to resist. But, if I can't have dairy, I have nuts and seeds in meticulously weighed portions. It's one or the other for me. Hope this doesn't disqualify me. Had pumpkins seeds and almonds (1 oz each) yesterday and lost 3 lbs. I think I've found my answer.

Great News! I myself am at a stand still - could it be from too much cheese? I'm still at the induction stage, can't have nuts yet only been 12 days.

I'm not on atkins, but cut out dairy about one month ago! I feel like I have lost a bit more than usual. The other significant thing I discovered is that my cramps from TOM were alleviated. I've suffered from terrible cramps all my life and the only thing that stopped them before was the pill. I'm hoping that by cutting out the dairy forever, this will continue to be the deal. Next week will either prove or disprove that getting rid of dairy and switching to almond milk helped with cramps. Most cheeses have saturated fat and sodium that I am trying to limit. The omega 6 fatty acids apparently contribute to inflammation and the cramps!

There is Nothing better than seeing all of your replies. Thanks for the encouragement and I'm excited about my 'new discovery' . . . I'm all about 'not making a hard thing harder' . . Atkins w/o dairy is a little too sterile for me . . . the nuts seem to be my saving grace. Calories/carbs are in perfect amounts. Thanks again Everyone!

Swollen ankles???
I have them too, and for me it is because of food intolerance. I can accidentally eat small amount of food I do not tolerate, and they will remain swollen for a few weeks.

Have you thought of joining an Atkins challenge? You can get as much or as little support there as you want to have. :)
