ME and Atkins

I have ME and am unable to exercise (I can only move about a very minimal amount) and am doing the Atkins diet because I have a lot of wide-ranging allergies - everything from wheat, yeast, soy, fructose to dairy (and more). The only things I can eat without a reaction at all is protein and fat. So I figure I will give this Atkins lark a go... is there anyone else who has ME and/or lots of allergies and/or is doing Atkins?

(I lost 8 stone before I got ill so I know I will be successful although I was exercising a lot then and I dont do incredibly well with a restrictive diet but the fact is if I dont do this I will be very very ill.)

Hi Nora,
Geez, I don't have much help to give you...is there any type of vegetable that you can eat ?? I think you'll be alright without so much exercise,so I wouldn't worry about that.
Go to the Atkins site and post a question for Colett..she is the nutritionist for Atkins. She should have some info./help for you.
Have you been on Atkins site before? If not, let us know and we can help you get on and to the correct place.
