My curiosity is killing me!!!!!

My step-father said I'm doing Atkins all wrong. But on the scale, I'm losing weight [although I see no change in my figure and I'm like 15 lbs down...].
I normally eat ONLY hard boiled eggs and fried eggs.
After my workout I DON'T EAT. Unless I worked out at 2-6 in the afternoon. But I only snack on eggs.
I also eat white meat chicken when I have the chance.
Haven't been able to get salad in a while.
And I drink ONLY water. Nothing else. Ever.
He says I'm not losing weight fast enough for me to see cos' I'm not eating the right foods in my diet. He also said I'm supposed to be on induction for 2 WEEKS.
I was told I can be on induction for up to 6 MONTHS depending on how much weight I want to lose.
When someone says "get some net carbs in", I eat 1 apple and I'll have 1 or 2 salads a day.
We also have frozen "Swaggerty's" sausage patties upstairs. I wasn't sure if I was able to eat those on Atkins.
Care to give me some friendly advice and ease my mind? I haven't ate since I got up cos' I'm not sure if I'm doing Atkins right... It's frying my brain and I don't want to see the scale move up. :/

The only advise possible here is go on Atins site, learn more about their plan. You can also find the book there. They have a great planned menu with easy to make recipes. They have acceptable food lists for all phases. Take care!!!

sorry to say, but from what you posted you are doing Atkins wrong. you need to eat more than just eggs, even on induction. read the book (you can borrow from the library) or check out their website (www.atkins.com) it has tons of articles you can read and a community forum (like this).
your body needs balanced, regular, healthy meals, no matter what diet you are following.

there should be a list of foods in there, it's been a while since I read it. the simplest way to explain is nothing white (potatoes, sugar, bread, anything made from flour). the only white food you can have is cauliflower.
if you are doing induction then stick with meat & veggies (no carrots), and anything made from fat (butter, olive oil, mayo-the real stuff, not miracle whip).
if you are logging your foods, the net carbs (total carb minus fiber) should be close to 20g. the pie chart at the bottom of the food diary page should be 5-10% carb, 60% fat, 30% protein.
I'm sure other members can add more, but that's the basics.

I would go to Atkins website and sign up. They send you a starter kit that is a way toned down verison of the book and includes a list of foods that you can eat on induction. Also you are allowed to do induction for longer than two weeks. You are supposed to be at 20 net carbs a day. Net carbs are the total carbs minus the dietary fiber. You want to get 12-15 of those net carbs from vegetables. Yogurt is not allowed on the diet so I would cut that out. I would start clicking on people profiles and looking at their diet calendars and that should give you an idea of different foods you can eat

So eat 20 net carbs a day? Regardless of what it is as long as I get 20 net carbs in? And I'll start looking. Thanks for making Atkins easier for me!

12-15 net carbs from your veggies, the remaining from everything else you eat. cheese has 1 carb per ounce. if you use sweetner, count that as 1 carb per packet/serving. meat has no carbs, it's pure protein. butter and oil are pure fat, so no carbs.
read the nutrition labels and measure your servings.
the foods you mentioned in your first post - eggs, white meat chicken, 1 or 2 salads a day, sausage patties (limited) are all ok. no apples, too many carbs.

I also looked at your food diary, and you only have a few things logged. is that all you've eaten today? the best thing about atkins is that you can eat!
the foods you logged today (except the yogurt) are ok, just add some more meat & veggies. canned chicken or tuna are cheap & easy to fix, mix with some mayo, you can add chopped celery or pickles. put that with a salad. once you get the hang of things it will get easier.
and though you don't have to count calories on atkins, you should be close to 1800 each day (more or less is ok).

apples have about 8 net carbs, those are phase 3. if your craving fruit go for berries or melon instead.
seriously you should go to their website. click on the program tab. under that is overview, phase 1, phase 2...and to the left is "what you can eat in this phase"

I'll have to check it out. I'm trying my best with what I got and I get so confused so easily... :/ My step-father did Atkins and he won't teach me how to do it on my own. He was a Navy seal and is trying to teach me a lesson or something. My mom tried reading the book with me and none of us understood it. She's just been buying eggs, chicken, and leafy greens. That's what we figured I was supposed to eat. I don't have many buddies on here, so my questions go unanswered.
