Just called it brunch! Don't beat yourself up over it, get back on the horse straight away. Maybe go for a walk for just 20 min. Plan a light lunch, a healthy dinner and a couple of snacks. And use your food diary. If you log food before you eat it, you get a good idea what impact your choices have.
Please don't give up now, we all have blips once in a while. The important thing is to get back on track.

If you are constantly hungry try to keep raw veggies around so you have something healthy to snack on. Even if you "need" to dip them in ranch it will still be healthier than what you have been eating. If you want something sweet go for fruit or fiber bars; salty - try lean ham or low fat cheese.
It is OK to eat, just choose the right things.

You can feel hungry if you don't get enough micronutrients in your food. I.e. you eat mostly processed cooked food and very little fresh vegetables and fruit. Digesting processed foods high in sugar, like bread, pies, etc. depletes your reserves even more. Your body might be telling you that you are actually starving while overeating empty calories. Also try to eat some protein with every meal, it also helps to curb the appetite.

I agree with this! At least, it's true for me.
And here's
another forum thread which touches on this a bit deeper.
For me, once I cut back my carbs and upped my protein, I noticed I had less cravings, got fuller faster, and could go longer throughout the day without hunger pangs. But like I said, that's what works for me. It's not the same for everyone. Just a thought.. might be worth a shot to try.

Need suggestions on healthy/low-calorie foods.
I'm reading this while eating some absolutely delightful fresh melon for breakfast. If the melon isn't soft enough on its own you could add it to a fruit smoothie.
